How should an importer read a wholesale Instagram before writing to Turkey?

Read a wholesale Instagram for repeated silhouettes — wide-leg trousers, palazzo pants, women's suit sets — real garments and a way to order. On @cotiful that means sampleable wholesale women's clothing from Merter, not a mood board.

The grid is a rail, if the account is serious

An importer should scroll @cotiful the way she walks a showroom. Which silhouette appears more than once? Is there a trouser story, a set story, a lighter pant, or a random new product every frame? Repetition is a good sign. It means the house has a point of view and a chance of cutting the same idea again. A grid with no memory is a catalogue of one-off samples, and one-off samples are how boutiques end up with clothes they cannot repeat.

Cotiful's grid is women's ready-to-wear: palazzo and wide-leg trousers, pleated trousers, suits and matching sets, chiffon pleated pants. You can check that claim against the posts, and against the notes on palazzo, grey wide leg, fall pleats, suits and chiffon. If the posts and the shop you run are the same idea, you have read the account correctly. If you wanted menswear or a different product and you are still staring at dresses and trousers, the account has also done its job. It has told you to ask, or to look elsewhere. There are other Turkish exporters. @cotiful is not pretending to be all of them.

What to ignore before you get impressed

Ignore the follower count. A boutique does not wear a follower count. Ignore comments that only say "fire" or "price please" with no garment detail. Ignore a soundtrack. Ignore a claim in a caption that someone is the only factory, the fastest factory, or the certified factory, unless the proof is a document you can request. Cotiful will not use this article to invent a certificate, a capacity or a price. If you need any of those, you will ask on WhatsApp and we will answer for the style. A caption is not a contract.

Ignore a single heroic photograph if the clothes around it do not belong to the same woman. One viral set does not make a collection. Look at the neighbouring posts. Would you put three of them in one window without a fight? That is the importer's test. Cotiful wants to pass that test. We would rather you buy two related styles than screenshot one look and demand a wardrobe we do not cut.

How to read a single post

Look at the waist, the leg, the length and the way the pieces of a set relate. Ask whether you can see the cloth or only a filter. Ask whether the colour is one you can imagine in your daylight. Save the post. Screenshot it. Do not ask for the wholesale price in the public comments. Public price talk attracts the wrong conversation and it rarely includes what the price covers. The serious version of the question is a direct message or, better, WhatsApp +90 530 032 28 02, with the post attached.

Read the person. Is the account a brand with a place, or a faceless repost machine? Cotiful is a brand of Erasko Tekstil with a Merter address: Mehmet Nesih Özmen Mah. Alaybey Sokak No: 14/1, Güngören-Merter, Istanbul. The email is info@cotiful.com. If you cannot find a company behind a wholesale Instagram, do not send money, patterns or your customer list. A beautiful grid is cheap to fake. An address you can visit is not. When you write, mention the post and ask to confirm you are speaking with Cotiful. Identity is part of reading.

Stories, highlights and the difference from the grid

Stories are useful and slippery. They show movement, a chiffon pleat, the inside of a jacket, a fitting. They also disappear. If a story is the garment you want, capture it and send it to us immediately, and ask whether it is a style we can sample or a one-time try-on. Highlights, when they exist, are the account's memory. Use them to see whether trousers and sets are really the work, or whether the grid was dressed up for a single week. The grid is the promise. The story is a hint. The sample is the proof.

Do not treat a story reply as an order confirmation. Chat is fast and easy to misread. Move the detail into a message that states the style, the city, ready collection or private label, and the question you need answered. Cotiful will be clearer there than in a public reply under a song. You should be clearer there too. An importer who writes "love this, MOQ?" has not read the account. An importer who writes "this grey trouser, for a boutique in [city], ready collection, can we sample?" has read it perfectly. Ask the minimum in that second message. Let us name it. Do not fill one in from another brand's caption.

Use Instagram to edit, then leave it

The correct use of @cotiful is a shortlist. Two trousers or one trouser and one set. Maybe chiffon if your shop is ready, which you can judge with when to add chiffon pleated pants. Maybe a window set, judged with what works in a European window. Then leave the app and write the brief. Importers lose seasons inside the scroll, comparing ten accounts, saving eighty posts, and ordering nothing they can explain. A wholesale Instagram is a door. Walking through it means a sample and a decision.

Compare another account with the same method if you must: repetition, a real garment, a company you can name, a refusal to promise every category. Then stop. Cotiful would rather win on the sample than on the algorithm. Send the saved posts to info@cotiful.com or to WhatsApp. If you are in Istanbul, bring the saved posts to the showroom on your phone and look at the cloth in the room. The screen is where the edit starts. Merter is where it becomes clothes.

The message that shows you read it properly

Use this shape. "I am buying for a boutique in [city]. These Cotiful posts are the rail I want: [links]. I want the ready collection unless you tell me this style should be private label. Please confirm you can sample these, how long the sample of these styles will take, what a first order can look like, and what the price includes. My customer already wears [one sentence]." That message is worth more than a hundred likes. It tells us you saw the clothes and you have a shop.

Read @cotiful for the silhouette you can reorder. Ignore the theatre. Write to the company behind it, Erasko Tekstil's women's line, on a channel where a garment can be promised properly. The Instagram is the introduction. The order is the conversation that starts when you send the post and ask to hold the clothes. Do that next. The grid has already told you whether we are the house for your rail.
